Quaint and quirky

Well guess what, we didn't win the quiz!!
Should have come joint third, but we made the same old mistakes, changing our minds, when will we learn :-/ So busy, there were lots of teams, 85 people playing last night, might have something to do with the fact that the Play your cards right raffle at the end of the evening currently stands at just over £700!! Still has t been won, so,guess it will be busy again next week too!!!

Woke up loads last night, but I managed 6.5 hours overall, so I'll survive the day ;-)

Cloudy first thing, but by late morning the sun was winning the battle and it was really warm when the sun was out.

We had a quick walk for the paper and a few bits I needed, called in the cafe for a coffee, this little table decoration is rather sweet and smelled divine, so I thought it would fit the bill for Biker ears Flower Friday challenge :-) We walked home the longer route, then sat in the garden reading for half an hour :-)

After lunch, a turkey salad sandwich, there was more to do in the garden. I finished the planting of the window boxes and planted up 3 large tubs, revitalised the alpine sink under the front window, trimmed back the exochorda "the bride" as it was shading the greenhouse too much.

Also added some extra trailers to the tops of some other planters and a couple of baskets!!
Still need three more plants to finish off......it's never ending!!! Must have burnt off loads of calories this afternoon during those 4 hours :-)

After we'd cleared up, hub got the loungers out and put them in the evening sunshine on the decking and brought me a glass of prosecco with a raspberry floating in it...mmm lush, as they say!! I had a second glass too, naughty but soo nice :-)

We have just finished dinner at 8.30......grilled rib eye steak with fried onions, mixed salad, new potatoes, all rather delicious, followed by a blueberry yoghurt.

Might have to finish off that prosecco in a while too ;-)
