Carduelis carabina

Just to prove how wonderful Linnets are, here is an adorable female to go with yesterdays male.

Sadly they are in decline, like so many other farmland birds in the UK. Happily these Linnets have been busy making more Linnets. Yay!

And as a reversal to yesterdays blip, there is a live Coral Weed in the extra photo with my hand over it to show it up.

Does anyone have any tips for rockpool photos by the way? I find it quite difficult to avoid reflections without falling in.
