Dr Blighty
More than a million men travelled from India to fight for the Allies during World War One. Between 1914 and 1916, over 2000 Indian soldiers wounded on the Western Front were brought to a temporary hospital housed in Brighton’s majestic, Mughal inspired Royal Pavilion Estate. .... This week their story was told with a huge projection of light and colour onto the Royal Pavilion as part of the Brighton Festival...
I went along this evening with Stephen and so did the rest of Brighton and beyond.. it was chaos with crowds and crowds so I managed to see a little of the first showing before feeling squashed against fencing.. we battled our way out of the crowds and found a spot less crowded.. The show organisers were asking for the crowds to get off the busy road. They refused to start the second showing until the road was clear so We gave up at 10pm and had a lovely walk back to the car...
