Break in the rains

Before the dawn trip to Sandrok and Waithou hill ranges on the look out for a particular bird which had been encountered on previous trips. However, no sunshine while we're at it in the hills - instead splatter of rains. This season, the monsoon rains are inadequate to plant the rice saplings in the paddy fields majority of which depend on the monsoon. The state's on the eve of declaring drought while still waiting for the hide and seek of the monsoon rain clouds. These farmers are continuing their work with paid waters while most of the fields are not yet ready.
