OPEN MIND

A religious friend of mine, insistent that the words in the bible could only be interpreted one way, said to me, "Julia, if a sign says, 'Keep off the Grass', it can only mean one thing!"

I replied, "If the sign is on someone's lawn, it means stay off the grass. But if the sign is in a high school counselor's office and shows a kid smoking a joint, then it would mean something else, right?!"

Just saying . . .
