Roughtor
Our first full day in Cornwall and we headed for Tintagel in the morning. A fabulous spot and we were lucky to have some fantastic sunny weather to explore the castle in.
After lunch we attempted to find the British Cycle Museum which we had seen in a guide book was around these parts and we had see on a couple of signs on the way to Tintagel. We even got directions from the tourist info centre but no joy the museum was not going to let us find it.
Instead we headed for Roughtor on Bodmin Moor - the highest point in Cornwall. A good walk and some fantastic rocks to explore. The views were dramatic with passing showers and pools of sunshine being chased around by the steely grey clouds. Eventually the rain caught up with us as we left the top and we enjoyed a very wet and muddy decent, especially when Campbell took a dive into a nice bit of bog.
All in all - a grand day!
