Croome Dragonfly
We visited Croome Park, near Pershore in Worcestershire today. It was our first visit to this particular NT property, but certainly won't be our last.
There are miles of footpaths to walk through the beautiful park, landscaped by Capability Brown.
We had just arrived and I had popped into the reception area to see where dogs were permitted and we heard a voice asking "Which one is Hector? And where's Coffee Potter?" I came back out again, and there were Tedwin and Redilady, both Blippers. We had never met before, but they had recognised Hector and Ziggy! What a coincidence, as it was the first visit to Croome for all of us, and we'd never have met if it hadn't been for H and Z. We had a quick chat and then all proceeded on our merry ways as they were just leaving, and we were just arriving.
This stunning dragonfly was flitting around a flower bed, but it was a job to catch him standing still. After a bit of investigation, I've decided that it may be a female Broad-Bodied Chaser Dragonfly.
My extra is the parkland with the church on the left and Croome Court in the centre. I had to do another panorama to fit it all in!
