Fladda at sunset

I was on the island of Luing this evening for a party to celebrate the first birthday of the wonderful Atlantic Islands Centre.   I had been due to open it last year but I was ill at the time, so my Westminster colleague Brendan O'Hara did so instead.   

I just had to be there tonight though, not least because of the amazing success of the centre since it opened which has surpassed even the most optimistic estimates of visitors and local usage.

It was a great evening and the weather was wonderful too and of course the Centre sits in a beautiful spot with a stunning view out to Belnhahua, the Garvallachs and Mull.
