Place-du-Mercadial

It was hot today, 28 degrees or so.  We worked this morning and, later, went into Saint Céré for a walk.  We wandered through Place-du-Mercadial and sat down to coffee and artisan baked cakes.  It was sultry hot.  We ate our evening meal at the table in the garden, a slow cooked beef stew accompanied by a little Gaillac Malbec.  But the storm clouds were gathering and thickening into angry black, so we had to retreat indoors.  The inevitable thunderstorm followed and doused the remains of the day with some welcome cool.
