A bird in the hand ...

Sitting in the garden at lunchtime and I saw Flint run across the lawn at something, then realised he was patting a baby bird with his paw.
We have been very lucky to have had blue tits nesting in the birdbox on our shed, and have been hearing the babies tweeting, and seeing the adults flying in and out on a regular basis.
Today the little bird must have fallen out. So I picked him up and fed him back in to the bird box. I hope he is OK and waits until he's a little bigger and able to fly before he tries it again. It's not our cats that are the big problem, but the next doors cat  - he's a prolific killer!
