We came across a wonderful hardware shop in Shrewsbury, full of lots of fascinating bits and pieces, a real Aladdin's cave!  Shrewsbury is lovely, it's small enough to explore on foot, is full of little passageways and alleys, has got a beautiful park alongside the river, lots of old churches, black and white timbered buildings and, best of all, it is incredibly dog friendly!

It was a hot day and there were water bowls outside nearly every shop, and Ollie was welcomed in just about everywhere, cafes, shops, even churches. Very civilised!  One of my extras shows him resting in one of the churches, enjoying the cold stone floor.  He has been so good and well behaved, especially as he is not a town dog at all, in fact he is hardly ever on a lead!

A lovely spot and I wish we could have stayed longer, but we're heading south . . .
