Grey Day
It was a bleak and cold day today. You could call it a perfect day to spend inside with a good book or movie.
Instead after getting some fish for lunch and spotting two falcons hunting over the wetlands on the way home I went back to try my hand at some bird spotting with the camera. I now have a new found respect for nature photographers. After an hour of standing half hidden in a bush waiting I gave up and emerged only to have one pass over head.
On returning to the car I sat on the waters edge and snapped a few Pied Stilts in flight.
I set the ISO on 500 not sure if its that that has made it a tad hazy or the movement on a dull overcast day?
Extra photo is of a sad wet wee fella (or fellas) trying to find a feed and not becoming a feed. I did not have the heart to leave him/her on the open bridge so picked it up for a while to warm it and let it go into the long grass.
