Warm Enough

This kid stayed in the swing for half an hour. Even when I gave up pushing, she was happy to kick herself about in the sun.

I relented and let the chooks into the veggie patch. They demolished the kale and terrorised my strawberries within the hour. They were the most content I've seen them in a while and I used the opportunity to clean out their actual pen. I think I'm not feeding them enough shell grit. One of them has a lump on its chest... $38 for a 25kg bag of shell grit. Does that sound right? How much do they need? I don't know...
