A host of wild narcissi

Not quite Wordsworth's golden daffodils but our own Ardeche version of it - and all wild too.Lunch today with two English friends who live above us on the plateau and have just arrived.
Decent wine, food and company and to walk off the effects we strolled down through the meadow just below the house. You can just see the house on the skyline.
On the way back, we decided to try and get some diesel for the car. As you may or may not know, there is currently a strike in France disrupting the delivery of fuel. We only had enough to go down to the valley and return once so it was slightly nerve-racking, especially after the first four garages we visited all had signs up saying no fuel, or at least signs saying that in their best French which would seem to be "Rupture Gazole".
Happily having made the decision to go on to Aubenas - about an hour's drive from the house, we eventually found a supermarket that would sell us diesel and we could drive back up the valley to the house with an easy mind. Trials and tribulations of living in the middle of nowhere.

Big lunch not so good for the diet though...
