Yew, and Non Yew

Bringing the yew hedge by the front door back into shape (a process that will take a few years) I was rather bemused to find a key growing out of it!

Being naturally suspicious of the idea that keys grow on yew hedges I guess that, some large number of years ago given that yew isn't the speediest of trees, someone hooked the front door key on the hedge - and forgot.

Wonder if it still fits?
