Playtime

It's 1030 and these children are still playing. They're the children of the local bowabs (doormen) who sit outside our building all day.

Adults go to bed well after midnight here and I do quite often now too. I used to be a morning person but with evening classes that's all changed. So, it's very much a night and sleep deprived culture and it's not unusual for kids to go to bed very late too.

Kids definitely rule the roost in Egypt with many parents feeling powerless...even if their child is only six or seven...
