On the beach.

Very hot day in Oliva today.It was over 30 degrees when we went on the beach today at 10,o'clock. We took two beach chairs and two beach towels and joined are friends on the beach.We also had our cooler box with us with a few drinks in.The talk was mostly of the crises in Spain.Our friends were asking us what it was like in England but as we said to them we have not lived there for 9 years so we really dont know.Apparently the firemen who fought the forest fires in Valencia have not been paid for nearly two months and the pharmacies might go on strike because the Government have not paid them for 4 months .
Some of our friends are from Madrid and what I cannot understand is that they have a months holiday or at least 3 weeks and next month Oliva will be invaded with people from Madrid.So for some people things cannot be that bad.The time flew by on the beach we nearly missed our siesta. As Van Morrison said ' the craic was good'.
