Then why the hell do they persist in buying watches from people who know as much about them as your average milliner does about an  XJS?

Could we please remove the security tag, it has been disabled but they didn't remove it? And could we please fit a battery?

First things first ... Why faff about cutting the wire if watch no worky?
Changed battery ... Watch no worky!

Reason ... The stem was too short in its default position (pushed in to allow watch to work): with the result that one could set the hands without pulling out the stem first. And, of course, the stem could NOT be pushed any further in to allow it to start.

Stick yer finger in yer ear and say red backwards .... DER?!?!?
