between Bournemouth Pier and Boscombe Pier
A month ago, on 24th April, a section of Bournemouth's 30 meters high East Cliff suffered a major landslip. No casualties, but of the toilet block at the bottom of the cliff was destroyed. The integrity of the damaged East Cliff Lift (a funicular railway built in 1906 and adjacent to the sight of the slip) may have been prejudiced.
Clearly works are under way to stabilise the site.
