Into the Karwendel Mountains

Spent today high above the Achensee, but rather than do the traditional walk up the mountain then walk down again, we decided to use the little cable car (see the extra) to get up high at the start of the day then walk down (almost) to lake level before finishing the day back at the top of the cable car.  

Splendid views throughout the day - including an excellent close view of one the local golden eagles.
