Until 1990 this modern distillery built 50 years ago produced mostly for blending though some rare malts under the appellation Braes of Glenlivet were produced and now worth hundreds of pounds per bottle .Name changed to Braeval on acquisition by Pernod Ricard who own The Glenlivet and not long after moth balled Reopened ten years ago and releasing limited quantities beautiful very light almost colourless malts distilled ,,pre acquisition under the Braeval name.The most reasonable about £80 a bottle!
