Bloom

Yet another allotment blip. Spent most of the afternoon there; cut the grass, weeded out masses of chickweed, sowed two kinds of beetroot and strung a line along the drill with twists of tin foil on it to see if that keeps the wood pigeons at bay. Doubt it but it's worth a try - we only have 4 seedlings left from the first sowing. Thinking about it, maybe it's actually a slug problem. I might have to order some nematodes.
