Californian Poppy

....in the sun :)

After spending the day working at home productively it was off out to the garden for a spot of weeding and a tidy up. The soil is still sodden and the grass still wet but I was able to haul out a good few weeds and do some dead heading. Joy ;-)

As the sun was out Mr Lif and I decided to make the most of it and have a small mid week glass of wine. We also came up with a cunning plan to go camping at the weekend. So we have booked a site in Northumberland and come Friday we shall be off on an adventure with the pooches.. :)

Now just have to talk nicely to boss lady about taking an hour off on Friday so we can get past Edinburgh ahead of the traffic and the jobs a good 'un

The Californian poppies spread themselves where they fancy in the garden. You never know from one year to the next where they will turn up. When they do show their faces they are full of bright colour and last for months. The best type of plant :)
