Waxeye Fodder

A cold, wet miserable day, but the Coprosma berries are beginning to ripen so things are looking good for the waxeyes. The female bushes have masses of immature berries that ripen a few at a time, providing a continuous supply all winter. The bushes are evergreens, but old leaves take on bright colours as they die.
