I Can See You!

It's supposed to be raining by this afternoon so I thought I'd better go out early to catch the sunshine, bugs and butterflies. I also came across this handsome lizard in full mating colours. He was fairly big but very shy and I only managed to capture his head as he was hiding behind the gorse and grass.  I think there could have been a few of them around as there was lots of rustles in the long grass opposite the pond.

I also saw about half a dozen red admirals feeding on the cow parsley, which made me appreciate the huge plants a lot more. You can see some more shots on my Flickr if you fancy a mooch.
