An Early Summer's Day

Some days, the whole day goes by with nothing more interesting happening than a rainy walkie. Other days, like today, are just packed with excitement! Before it was even eleven o'clock and time for my walkie, we had already been at Nellie's for breakfast and a short walk, and at the car inspection with our car and grandma's car! It was my third visit to the car inspection, so I just stayed cool. Mum was relieved they both passed!

In the afternoon we went south along the canal for a walkie along it. Countless shades of green and wild flowers everywhere! Happy exploring, but on my short lead because of all the wildlife.

When we got back to the car mum saw this tiny unmanned booth with an ice cream flag on it on the other side of the small marina. We went there to check, and you could buy ice cream and put money in a tin. Yay! It turned out mum only had a big bill and no change. Hello? Disappointed... But on the way home she made it up to me, getting an ice cream and small change for next time in one go!
