An ordinary life....

We dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig...

Busy building site this morning.

Site visit by builder and architect to discuss the breeze block wall that's been cemented to the boundary wall.  Much head scratching and the decision to try and separate the two.  As a result they've managed to remove half of it without damage to the boundary wall and will attempt the other half tomorrow.

The other major job of the day was digging down to lay the pipe work.  I was barred from using the washing machine, dishwasher and kitchen sink whilst they carried out the work.  When I looked out the kitchen window at lunch time I was shocked to see they had dug down so much all I could see was the top of their heads.  Then they stood up and I realised they'd been kneeling :-))

Agnes came for lunch then Alan's dietician arrived at 2.30pm to discuss the kind of feeding tube Alan's going to get.  Lots to remember but it all seems straightforward.  We've been given a new date for his gastrostomy - 29th June - so not much longer to wait.

And the evening ended with a bit of drama (of course :)  Alan and Jo went out for an evening walk and when they left Alan's wheelchair had 4 wheels.  They arrived back 20 minutes later and it only had three!  The front left wheel had sheared right off!  Alan was completely unfazed (poor Jo was a bit rattled) and all he wanted to do was transfer into his manual chair and head out again.  So they did.
