Beauty and the Beast

The Beauty of a lovely day, spent celebrating TSM's birthday in Blenheim Palace and then Oxford. Absolutely stunning place, Blenheim, can't believe I've not been there before. The whole thing is massive and fascinating, and when the temperature hit 30 degrees we knew we'd chosen a good day. Did a facebook album of the many pics I took.

We won't mention losing the iPod in the long grass and finding it again - miraculously - or in finding the iPod, losing the car keys then finding them as well - a double miracle.

Will mention an absolutely lovely restaurant in Jericho called Branca, which has excellent food, is excellent value, and lovely waiting staff (thanks particularly to Natasha).

Can't help but mention the Beast that is a bloody awful toothache which got worse as the day wore on and as I write is leaving me almost delirious with pain ... earliest appointment I could get with dentist is Friday afternoon but think I may pass out before then ... so will be calling the NHS emergency dental service in the morning

But let's not detract from the most important thing ... Happy Birthday TSM, many happy memories of a lovely day in the sun. Have a great year ahead xxx
