The hand of God

A new addition to the beautiful church of San Giorgio de Maggiore. This golden "Hand of God" is made up of words from 8 languages. The church is beautiful, but also affords great views across the island and over to San Marco from the bell tower (see extras). There is some very weird art in Venice at the moment - some of which I didn't dare photograph! Some people must have very strange imaginations! Oh - and against my better judgement I was forced into a gondola today - hate to admit it was lovely!
