Sea Watch

I am sitting on a bench at Berry Head, Brixham, dedicated to Joan Earnshaw (1934-2000), inscribed 'Looking South'. The next bench to it is inscribed ' Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by those which take our breath away.' Mrs Mover is at the end of the headland being trained in whale and dolphin watching so that she can take part in National Whale and Dolphin Watch this weekend. I sat here and tried to sketch the view. It was a perfect evening. This time last year our nearest maritime location was Wigan Pier. Three harbour porpoises were seen by the trainees.
