Footpath Closed

This footpath is the one which we normally use when we are walking into the centre of Stokesley. It has been closed for a while. As they were building the small shops we noticed that the doorsteps were a lot higher than the original footpath. The workmen have been working on it for a few weeks now and the tarmac has been laid. I can't help feeling it will have to be done again. The path is still lower than the nearest door in the picture and you may be able to see that they have built in a small slope to get to it! I certainly wouldn't sign it off. One of our small cafes has closed because they are supposed to be moving in to one of the units at the end of next week. I can't see that happening on time.
