Pont du Gard
This is the highest Roman aqueduct at 160 ft that carried water to Nimes from Uzes. It's very impressive in situ, and we enjoyed walking around the site. The museum was well designed, incorporating video and audio to good effect, and not dumbed down at all to a purely educational level as many museums in England.
The weather was much improved and we had some sun, no sign of the dreadful floods in other parts of France.
