Another view of Venice.....

from inside the Bridge of Sighs, the bridge that links the Doge's Palace with the prison next to it, so named by Lord Byron. We spent hours exploring the palace with it's amazing architecture and works of art. A late long lunch beside the Rialto bridge made it a memorable day. Hubby had promised me a trip to Venice for many years having been there himself at 16 on a school trip. My mum and dad had a holiday there many years ago too and raved about it. It lived up to all my expectations. I'd love to go back and explore further, despite the crowds and the crazy prices. Maybe a gondola trip next time!
