Aunt and niece

Well, my mother and her niece. Beryl lives in London and is on a trip north. It's years, if not decades, since I met her so was able with our son to join my mother and my cousin for dinner tonight.

It was a pleasant and entertaining end to my first day back at work which started with a briefing at 8am and then a day's meeting with the volunteer leadership team - the Area Conveners. Lots of constructive discussion about current and future issues, including appointment periods. And a chance to say farewell to one or two : but possibly more of that next week.
