Budding photographer

There's a pretty cool non-profit in DC called "Critical Exposure." It trains youth to use photography and advocacy to make real change in their schools and communities. The teens use photography to document issues that affect their lives and then use these images to launch campaigns to address these issues collectively.

Tonite, they held an exhibit of their work and had some of the photographers speak to how the projects affected them. It's pretty cool to see photography used for purposes other than entering competitions :)

My blip is of one of the exhibit's visitors: there's promise there already :)
