An Empty House

     On one of my trips to Gainesville helping a friend, I found this lovely old homestead house, abandoned for who knows how long.  I wonder who lived there, did they have children, were they agrarian and plant fields in all the open land around them?  Did the family build a new house a couple of acres away and leave the house, it's job done?  When was it built, who was the first to inhabit it?  
    I will never now,  but even in abandonment, it still stands straight and tall, not yet ravaged by time and weather.
