Miners Memorial

The Miners Memorial in Gunnedah, NSW is dedicated to the 20 miners who lost their lives over a period of 89 years of mining in and around Gunnedah. The one and a quarter times life-size statue depicts a miner replacing a pit prop. A broken prop lying at his feet symbolizes the "broken lives" of the miners.
