black iris...

...stumbled upon

during an excursion out today

i so wasn't expecting to see this - little gem this afternoon - i went on a hunt for 'circles' for bikerbears flowerfriday challenge - not certain what i was going to be looking for - and instead found this wonderful iris - a rare black one (yes i know it appears purple but it really is black) which doesn't by - any stretch of the imagination fit the definition of 'circle'

but ya know, sometimes you just need - to throw a challenge - and instead go with what makes for...
