Home territory

Up very early this morning to catch the boat to the airport - always sad to leave Venice. The hotel owner said "Arriverderci - see you again soon" - I do hope so! Airport has a lot of construction going on, and was hot and disorganised - just sat down with our coffees when last call came for flight! Away on time and with a tail wind we landed very early - now back to normality. Garden plants and veggies all in good shape, and even the peony is still going strong - noticed the elderberry in full flower so quick blip of the delicate flowers.
