Woolly Mammoth
Fossil Range: 1878 to 2008
Conservation Status: Almost extinct
Kingdom: Retailus Highstreetus
Class: Retailus Generalis
History:
The F. W. Woolworth Company (often referred to as Woolworth's) was a retail company that was one of the original American five-and-dime stores. The first Woolworth's store was founded, with a loan of $300, in 1878 by Frank Winfield Woolworth. Despite growing to be one of the largest retail chains in the world through most of the 20th century, increased competition led to its decline beginning in the 1980s. In 1982 Woolworths Group PLC split from the original F.W.Woolworth Company and is the current owner of the Woolworths chain of high street shops in the UK. The UK stores went into administration in November 2008.

Not all that different a fate from the real Woolly Mammoth then...
I ventured into Woollies at lunchtime on tha back of their 50% off promotion. The promotion was all lies (it's actually up to 50% off). Going in was a mistake. It was chaos.
Have a good weekend all!

LOTD: Life of Lauren's Haunted Theatre blip (and rejects) are a great series from a fantastic location/shoot... a crazy idea brilliantly executed, as usual.
