Open Day at Pennytree Farm

This afternoon Minty and I went along to Penny's annual fund-raising Open Day at the stables where she gives riding lessons to children.

There were donkey- and pony-rides, which even some dads tried (bottom left), much to the amusement of the kids; teas and baking, and a tombola stall. Penny's assistant, Julie, showed off her mane-plaiting skills (top right).

All the excitement in the warm sunshine got a bit much for Minty, who very sensibly took refuge in the shade under the Handy Garden Trolley.

(Apologies for the poor quality of all the photos)
