12 Candles

The eldest had his 12th birthday today. The last one before he's officially a stroppy teenager. (Although technically I guess you could argue his 13th year begins tomorrow, I'm not going to push the issue because I still like him as a pre-teen).

So today was a family day (his fun day is tomorrow), with fun, and food, and presents opening. 

He'll be too cool for all that stuff soon... too soon. It seems the merest blink of an eye since we bought him into the world, and we've loved him every second since.

Happy birthday kiddo. Here's to a hundred more. (Although hopefully we won't be doing the candle thing by then).
