In memory of a lovely man

Today was a sad day - the funeral of a bellringer, and tower captain in the next village.

The funeral was beautiful - a real celebration, his ashes are to be scatterered around the base of the bell tower. Sadly he had been ill for many years but he always remained positive. Rest in peace John.

I have been in the church many times but had never really taken notice of the organ pipes before, they are beautifully decorated. These are very different from the organ pipes in our church as blip in black and white here
