The aftermath
There is a reason why we chose to live on high grown, overlooking the Tweed Valley, and it's not just for the view.
Massive amounts of rain, falling during a very short period of time, combined with a king tide, resulted in chaos throughout the area late yesterday afternoon and last night.
We awoke this morning to the sun shining, and news that the horrendous weather has headed south. All that remains here is the massive clean up after Mother Nature's fury along with puddles the size of small lakes, as seen here in the valley below Mount Warning.
Wishing those who live in the southern areas a safe night, as the rains continue.
