Often when two elements are in tandem, there is a flow that is created. It's a beautiful feeling, at least for the simple reason of synchronicity. As such, the harmony created begins to ring with such a wonderful timber that its rounded tones create a vibration resonating both physical and mental senses. Music and your body for example have a bizarre relationship and seem to create a wonderful colour.

However, depending on the stream your consciousness flows on, the conflict created as it swims against the grain creates a wonderful array of colours. A dear friend once told me that conflict is the catalyst for progress and since then it has stayed with me in the back of my mind, watching.

Now, personally, I love harmony, I'm a pop person myself and enjoy listening to the Beatles, the chord progressions of a trance song, seeing people work together, an efficient rush hour in Tokyo, etc. But nonetheless, when a disturbance forms it can be very beautiful. A waterfall is gorgeous; the water breaks tandem from the stream as it crashes with the air to create a rainbow with light. The sparks that fly when metal scrapes across metal, the explosive fire created with two sticks, the music that plays when fingers strike the keys / strings, the wild energy created through furious sex... the list goes on. Through this conflict there is progress. There is something new.
