A welcome visitor

A rare and welcome sight on the River Deben in Woodbridge - a black swan among the native whites (mute swans) who congregate here.

This one (at least I presume the same one), who has probably lost his mate or perhaps escaped on his own from a private collection has arrived at about this date for several years and stays for part of the summer, and I was pleased to see him here again this weekend, right on time.
