The Start

My last blip was 25th October - I lost my blip mojo...now I am now determined to get going again an to try and reconstruct as much of the last few months as I can. It's cheating I think, but this is a photo courtesy of Simon Mortimer, a very lovely parent of another boy in this boat who has kindly given all the rest of us the use of this photo. This is the boys setting off to take the bronze medal in the Championship Quadruple Sculls at the National Schools Regatta at Eton Dorney.

In brief
I moved to Henley whilst also living in Oxford
Got a new job
Went to Sweden for the first time but just for a day
Joined a Philosophy Club where no one is sane
Watched my younger son become a serious athlete
Missed my older son hugely
Felt a bit down and overwhelmed at times
Missed my friends a lot
Missed my garden a lot too
Helped a world champion learn to iron
