It's that time again! Ramadan has been declared to start tomorrow - for a month! Dubai has been busy getting ready for it and it has now become tradition to have decorations in malls and public places. Quite the opposite of what the holy month should be - a time of fasting, prayer, austerity and reflection for Muslims. It is somewhat unrecognisable here.

It also heralds shorter working days - typically 6 hours. I have to admit, I am more pleased this year than ever! Especially for G who still has a few weeks of school left. Yup, she went over for a couple of hours today and felt really good. She even managed a small shop at the local hypermarket and cooked dinner. A much more normal day for her...

Follow-up neurologist appointment tomorrow, so it will be great to get to the bottom of things.
