At the orchid fields
We had a lovely afternoon walking around the open gardens in St Peters. The weather was sunny and seeing other peoples huge gardens very interesting. I particularly liked the first one where we had to walk through the house too! It belonged to a multi-generational family which explained why there were such a choice of places to sit and relax both inside and out. Another property had a duck pond and a walk through a wooded area with s stream snd bridge. We walked past the largest herd of golden Guernsey goats in the island. Another place had a huge cider apple tree which was 100 years old. St Peters has a special atmosphere and walking around the lanes full of wild flowers was just lovely.
We walked around the orchid fields afterwards which were in bloom.
