I'm late today because we've been enjoying a bit of rare sunshine and so it was later than usual when we decided to go out for a short walk along the canal.  It's not the pretty part of the canal where we normally go, because today there's been "1940s " weekend in the nearby town which meant it was closed off to traffic, making getting in or through difficult.  We didn't go far, just along the tow path from one side of the town to the other and it felt so good not to have layers and layers of clothing on for once  -  maybe summer really has arrived.
